Season's Best Barolos!

In choosing 2017 Barolos, one must be especially selective. For that reason, you won't want to miss Azelia's 2017 Crus, all of which landed top scores and praise from Vinous, James Suckling, Robert Parker and Decanter.

Like Galloni notes, the vintage favored the best crus and older vineyards. On top of that, precise farming was key to manage heat spikes.

Azelia was prepared. Being situated in high elevation sites, with old vines and a tradition of organic farming for 101 years, Azelia turned out some of the highest scoring Barolo Crus of the 2017 vintage.

In fact, Azelia ranked in the top 6% of 150 Barolo producers reviewed by James Suckling.

Being so small and focused has paid off for Azelia. Every detail is carefully orchestrated by Lorenzo and his father, Luigi, both hands-on in every detail.

This attention to detail explains why Azelia's new Cru, Cerretta, was an instant success when it debuted last year with the 2016 vintage. Even at its slight premium, the wine sold out in a flash. And the 2017 Cerretta, with 98 points, is sure to follow. (Pictured below on Instagram.)

Quite significantly for Azelia's brand, each one of their 2017 Barolo Crus has garnered top-of-the-vintage ratings, with 96 points or more. You can't miss.
